Ok Ladies and Germs,

Who is keeping the XM after the 3 month trial period, Sorry KROM owners you need not post! Unless you want to rant as to why the KROM has no XM, then feel free!

OK I got a letter today about the subscription and it works out like this for XM Everything:

Month to month is $14.93
2 Years up front is $282.49 or $11.70 a month
3 Years up front is $402.40 or $11.17 a month

The website say $12.99 a month but that is before the taxes and fees to the $14.93 amount.

I am still on the fence as I am glued to XM but standard radio is totally free. I love the drive anywhere and have the same station and I also love the Fox News in the morning. I am betting I sucker for this one on the 3 year plan but I will drag it out.

Your opinions please??

If you like the XM, then keep it. I just do the month to month because I can't fork out $400 at any one point. Month to month also provides the ability to cancel the subscription whenever you want. But it's up to you.

Yes I like it too but I'm all ready a customer in our other car. I like the programming you can't normally find (comedy channels for instance). Although the Cube's radio reception is very good, I live on the edge of the local market and reception is usually sketchy or poor. I have the rockford system so I'm usually "cranking it" and need a good signal. The Cube's sat. antenna is also better than our other one. For example, it won't drop out in the banks' drive thru while the other one will.

I don't know what option I'll take but the 2 year plan looks like a good savings without being locked in for too long.

I agree, for $0.60 a month difference it is the best option. I also heard from someone that there was a rocky road possible as Sirrus and XM were not making the money they had hoped. If you got the 2 or 3 year and they go belly up you are out the remainder and now your monthly just went up to $30.00 or something like it.

I love love love XM. If I didn't have my Willie's Place (XM13) and Radio Classics (XM164), I don't know what I'd do. And then from October to June, it's NHL hockey (XM204-XM209). I'm sure I average at least 100 hours a month, so on a per hour basis, it's nothing.

I wouldn't be surprised if you could just add your cube radio to the service you already get for your other car. You might want to call the XM radio people and see what they can do for you.

I use to have XM subscription on my 370z touring, but once I got my iPhone, I cancelled. They now have a free app for the iPhone for Sirius. They give you a free trial for one week and then they want you to subscribe.

However, if you delete the app and reinstall, with a new disposable email account, (yahoo, gmail, etc) then you get another free week of programming.

So for those of you with iPhones and don't mind the weekly update to the app, you basically get free sirius radio. Just no Howard Stern for howard fans. I listen mostly to 80's and CNN when I am driving so it does not matter.
