When using the controls on the steering wheel, whenever I try to switch my XM Radio channel to another channel, it defaults to channel 1. My XM is off the 3-month trial and fully activated (as of yesterday), although it was doing this during the trial period, too. The only way I can change the channels is on the radio itself. Is anyone else having this problem? Thanks!

It sounds to me like your subscription to XM did not download to the XM tuner in your cube yet, This is common if you called to activate the XM service and did not have the XM unit on while they sent the satellite signal to your xm tuner, If I am correct then the fix for this is as follows,
Call XM and tell them you need a refresh signal sent to your account, they will then ask you if the XM radio is turned on and tuned into channel 1, which it should be or else you will not get the satellite stream again, then they will send the refresh signal and within 30 seconds to 5 minutes the radio should update and you should have all your XM channels. I am 99.999% sure this is your problem, after 15 years in the mobile electronics business and with the popularity of satellite radio I have seen this happen numerous times. Just make sure the XM radio is on when you call them and the channels download and you will be fine,

Okay, here is the answer to my question. We figured it out by spending some time with the radio. The on-steering wheel buttons will not cycle through the XM channels one by one. I guess I was expecting they would.

However, the AUX button allows presents for 3 sets of 6 XM channels which gives you access to 18 of your favorites via the steering wheel button. The channel up and down on the radio will cycle through the channels one by one, and there is also a button to have access to the channels via their XM category.

I was having the problem of the steering wheel buttons bringing the radio back to channel 2 (6 preview channels) because I had not set the pre-set buttons and preview channels 2-1 thorugh 2-6 were the default pre-sets.

I hope this is helpful to someone, but maybe I am the only one who had not figured this out!

Yeah but the important question is...

what's your favorite channel?

I do not fit the demographic Nissan intended for the Cube. I am a bit (okay a lot) older than 41! My favorite channels are 6 and 7... ;D

Get me Iceberg!

I used to like the Sirius Chill stream a lot but when they merged with XM the mix on that channel changed a lot and I don't like it nearly as much.

And I'm 23 years older then you!
