Some explanations.....
Like a lot of other people the nickname I've got so far for my new cube is Q Bert (loved that game as a kid). So I have a few choices that reflect this name. My last car was MELS BUG so I've got some choices along those lines. Lastly, I'm a Marilyn Monroe fan so MELMON stands for my first name plus monroe. MM cube doubles as my initials and hers.

like i said in another thread a while ago, names like qubert look odd to me because in my mind i pronounce the "qu" sound as "kwoo"...so i immediately saw qubert as "kwoo-bert" and qub as "kwub" cubert is much better.

As per Coolguy I have SugrKwub but the plate says sugrqub

My ride is definitely a girls ride.

The MEL part I am not a fan of as it reminds me of Mel's Diner and a guy in white pants a t-shirt and an apron. (Kiss My Grits)

If you are going for a feminine plate the MEL does not hit it for me. :no:

I was thinking about "SUGR QUB" ! Here is my geeky Marilyn obsession kicking in - her name was Sugar in one of her movies

Yeah, I really love how you can see it because initially I wanted MELSCUBE but when I saw how it looked on the plate I didn't like it. Don't like how the S looks with the C - like scuba or something.

christine: i'm so jealous...here in colorado, you can't test out plate availabilities online. you have to submit a form with 10 plate suggestions (7 characters max each), and they pick the first one that's available. last time i was at the dmv, they wouldn't even look up a plate idea i had, so i submitted a form; let's just say i never heard back from them i really hope coolguy is available, but if not, i really have no idea what to pick!

Thanks for the feedback. I like people wondering who MEL is. Once when my hubby was driving my bug and we got out someone yelled out Hi Mel to him. Meanwhile I was the MEL

I never thought of MELS QB. Wonder if people will get the QB?

I think people who own a cube would get MELS QB... but QB could also stand for Quarter Back like in football... so maybe MELSQUB? (not sure if QB means Quarterback in your neck of the woods... LOL!) :-\
