I said goodbye to my '07 Yaris S sedan yesterday. It was bitter sweet as it has been a great car. It carried me for 131,000 miles without a single malfunction or failure. The sweet part was I got to say hello to my new shinny Cube SL!

I was actually looking at Focuses, Honda Fits and another Toyota. I stopped and drove the Cube just for fun and was immediately smitten. When I show it to my friends about half of them get this uncomfortable look and they say things like..."oh, that's nice." and I tell them that it's OK to not like it. Ya either love it or ya hate it. Personally I love it.

yikes, and i thought my car from '92 had a lot of miles (148k)! i was considering getting a yaris instead of a cube, but i opted for the cube for a variety of reasons - particularly visibility. anyway, welcome to the club :D here's to hoping your cube will treat you just as well as your yaris did! if you don't mind, i'd like to hear a cube/yaris comparison when you have time :)

The Yaris really is a great car but it is what it is, and that is an economy car. The interier is plasticy, the paint is so thin it chips if you look at it wrong, it's small and gets blown all over the road but the things are cheaper than dirt, gets nearly 40 mpg and never break down. I just wanted something more stylish and a little heavier built.

Oh and I wanted something with a $25 round piece of shag carpet on the dash. :p

Congrats and WOW you live in your car!

I am the other end of the spectrum, I traded two 10 year old cars for my Titan and both trades had less than 60K on them.
