I live in Metro Detroit, and our city has a yearly car cruise which I happened to drive thru to get home yesterday...I told my husband to leave our windows down so I could hear everyone's responses to the Cube. The funniest thing I heard was a kid yelling, "look, its a toaster!" I guess that's a pretty unique analogy...just when I thought I'd heard everything.

Toaster generally refers to the Scion Xb, they've been calling the xb a toaster since it's intoduction. But I guess all the kid saw was a rather square car and assumed it was in fact a TOASTER. Actually the cube doesn't need a nickname, after all, what can represent something square more then a CUBE...LOL

Indeed, the original xB probably has the maket cornered for "toaster", but as you say, the Cube is "the cube"! Kinda hard to better that !

We have something here in Idaho where people just drive in a big loop in down town Boise and then everyone drives out to a near by Jack in the Box and meet and greet etc. well this past saturday I had a guy in a civic tell me "No offnse but that car looks like a refrigerator..no offense..but at the same time it's kinda cute like it's driver" I love my cube.
