Tint %

Anyone know what the factory privacy tint is for the cube?

It looks like it has some tint that comes but my girlfriend seems to think that it's not dark enough. I dont know how but I don't remember when looking at it in person. She says it isn't as dark as the tint on my old car - 20%.

I want to put add a windshield tint banner as well because I like how much it helps daily.

Any ideas?

It is 20. I just had mine front side tinted at 30 and a 10 eyebrow.

So it comes from Nissan with the 20% tint?

Interesting. Do you have any pictures? I'd love to see it. The drive window and passenger didn't look 20%
The side windows (front were very light). I will take some pics tomorrow.

One more reason I cant wait to move to Florida in end of summer cause its legal to tint all the Windows. 20% tint all around, oh yeah!!
I live in Florida and just tinted my front driver and passenger side windows. The tint looks the same on all windows from the outside, but when your inside the car... the newly tinted windows look darker than the back windows. This is caused from the UV rating of the new tint. The guy who tinted my car, told me it's illegal in Florida to tint the windshield.
It is illegal to tint the front window past the A1 line, but with a brow at the top youll be fine in fl
I had limo over stock tint on the XB the entire time I had it. The cube is going to be limo too here in the next month.
Pic of my Cube is posted. You can have an eye brow if you keep above the mark on the right center of the wind shield.

Just tinted mine. We went with Limo on passenger and driver front and 20% or rear so it all looks limo. Will do the front in a 45% to cut the glare after I replace the windshield. Will get pics up later today.

Plenty of other states allow you to tint everything, too.
I'm in FL. and every car I've every had had had 5% with a 6" to 8" strip on the windshield and never had a problem.
Just had my sides done yesterday and they referenced this chart...

Had a guy who came in with very black (looked like paint) from FL who was transferring to NC and was needing a scrape off... They put the light meter to him and he wasn't even legal in FL anymore...
20 is legal on the two front side windows and 30 for the windshield band in Florida. The windshield band works soooo much better than the so called sun visors and you can still see through the windshield band even at night.

Here in good ol redneckville it is 35% but the cops are to lazy to ticket you for infractions unless you get stopped for something else.
I tinted the Fit 20% everywhere (except windshield) and have had zero problems.

My Cube is getting the treatment soon.
I just tinted the front windows 20% for now. They match up close from the outside but will look better when the rest is tinted. The factory tint must be somewhere between 25-30% i think b/c when i'm driving, sometimes i think the back windows are down b/c they arent as dark as the fronts....

well now that homeland has stepped up and bought almost every state light meters and have also made it "probable cause" since you may be hiding something - I have heard of more and more pull overs for nothing but the tint. In fact my tint shop told me of a story of a local officer who pulled a car over for the tint being too dark and guess what - it was an FBI top ten most wanted...
I went ahead and tinted the front windows and top of the windshield with a 75%(I think the higher number means more light goes through) anyways, its a little lighter than the back since it's not exactly legal here in CA. The back is probably around 50%. Back could be darker but I'm not sure how good it would look around the rear defroster pins on the rear window. That is why I probably won't get the back done. Hope this makes some sense. Have a good one.
It's simple - tint ur front two windows 30% to 35%. Leave it that, nice, legal in us and canada, and ur good to go. Now the back windows are normally 20 to 25%
The lower the number, the darker. 20% means amount light allowed in
