Type C's are great wheels. Very light and strong, but I've heard a few complaints about them bending due to rough road conditions.

SSR's a reputable wheel manufacturer.

Can't wait for my wheels to come in. 11.2 lbs each ;)

I've had SSR wheels on a previous car (not Type Cs or Competitions as they're also known), and was quite pleased. Solid wheel and did just fine in all of my daily driving.

My new wheels actually aren't SSRs. It's from a different Japanese manufacturer. I'll be sure to post pics when they finally arrive stateside and are ready to be mounted on my car.

At the moment, I'm just in a "part-gathering" phase. My Cube isn't here yet and neither are my wheels. :-[

Right now, looks like it's due to arrive at my dealer on 12/11. I hope it actually does show before I go out of town for the holidays...I want to take advantage of that tax deduction!

Did you decide to pick up some SSRs?

11 Pounds is an extremely light wheel. The rolling resistance and centrifugal weight will be reduced and should improve breaking distance and fuel economy. I like it, easy to clean too.

Make sure to get a light tire as well or all is for not on the advantages of the rim. Heavy cheap tire on light rim will cancel out the benefit.
