Have you tried getting to them from behind the wheel liner?

I did look at removing the wheel well as a possibility, however I figured these Japanese could not make a simple bulb change this labor intensive. You can actually partially see the backside of the little bugger from the engine compartment with the aid of a flashlight. But it gives up no secrets as to its removal.

Ok according to Hubby (Nissan Master tech) you have to remove wheel well lining to get to the side markers. Ok so that sucks but once you pop the liner it is right there and easy to get to.

I just had the wheels liner pulled back on the drivers side and forgot to look :-[ . The good news is that the clips are easy to remove with a flat head screwdriver.

In case anyone's still wondering, the side markers can be removed from outside. No panel pulling or fender liner removal required. Just push the front end towards the back of the car and then pull the front of it out. It has a locking tab in the front and a plastic spring in the rear. Plastic spring is the best I could come up with to describe it. Once you have it out you'll see what I'm talking about.

Hey Christine - did you get Amber colored LED's for those side markers - per something I read on SBLED's.com you want the LED to match the color of the lens...

http://www.superbrightleds.com/carbulb-notes.htm

Also some info on there regarding blinkers...

I am about to order my LED bulbs now... Also going to replace the license plate bulbs - those little boogers get hotter than hell...

I just replaced mine. Picked up some 4 LED amber ones from Autozone for 10 bucks. The 194 size fits. They give it more of a full glow instead of harsh bulb flash. Easy and cheap...

Awesome, I have these same bulbs I put them away after reading previous. I will have to revisit this and soon (Tonight) The LEDs are clear untill power applied so it will look totally clear.

I am excited about this once again. 8)

Anytime. Glad I could help you both! I'm getting really jealous though. I have 2 more things to take care of before I can get back to messing with my cube.
