Let's talk disco carpet here. Did you keep it? Pitch it? Love it? Hate it? Exactly what do you use it for? And more importantly how do you answer the question, "What the hell is that for?"?

It's called Cubic Hair and yes I kept it. I occasionally rub it for good luck. :p
Repost! LOL

I paid extra for mine so it will be staying. Besides, it is a good place to put lunch so that it's stays hot ;)
The glue on dash carpet melted in the heat... and it just started sliding around on the dash. I had to use goo gone to get the glue off of the dash... and I haven't figured out another way to stick it to the dash without it sliding around yet. I'd leave it on the dash, just for the "WTF is that?" looks that it got out of people, if I could just find a good way to attach it without having to worry about it sliding around or without damaging the dash.
I actually would like to do the whole dash up in shag :)

Have you seen the shag floor mats yet? I saw a set for sale on eBay a while ago.
If I could get good money for my OEM mats, then I would totally get the shag ones!
My dash shag thing is sitting in my garage. It's just not for me.
can i have your shag? use double tape to stick it back on... maybe it will work
Walmart sells a pack of heavy duty velcro. It is wider and strong backing. Since these are actually velcro just replace the one side of velcro. Clean the area with acohol first and reapply.
love it, just another unique touch to a unique car. i tell people the truth, there is no reason for it at all
Oh my god...when I went to the dealership to pick my Cube up back in May and saw that dumb piece of carpet sitting on the dash, I about had a fit! Thankfully they hadn't stuck it on; they just wanted to see what it looked like!

Seriously, if someone wants mine, they can have it. And the bungees for the door handles (except the pair of grey ones that I'm using).

Send me your address and they're yours. ([email protected])

Figuring it'll cost about $5.00 to mail, give a couple of bucks to the next guy you see on the street who looks like he needs it, and we'll call it good!

email sent ;)
When I first started shopping for the cube, I thought the shag thing was ridiculous, but it's really grown on me. It's another unique thing in a unique car, plus it's a great place to keep my sunglasses so they don't slide around and are easy to grab.
I've left it on for now. The one question I get asked the most is about the use of the shag on the dash. Everyone seems to think is rather funny.
