Hi, I just bought a Cube SL with impact sensors a few days ago and just noticed the security indicator light flashing every 3 seconds when the car is off. Is it normal for that light to keep flashing? It does turn off when the car is on. The security indicator light is the one shaped like a car with a key inside. (Sorry if this is a stupid question. Just paranoid. :-[ Oh, and I don't have the intelligent key system).

mine stays on too....i think that's normal.

yeah it flashes when you use the keyless remote to lock the doors. its normal. and standard on most cars with keyless entry too.

I expect the owner's manual refers to that indicator. You'll find it only flashes if you enabled the security system, if you didn't -- no flash. The idea is that someone considering car-theft will probably notice the red flash and decide it's not worth the risk.

My older car had a factory security system without keyless entry and no flasher. I installed keyless entry about 1-1/2 years ago and I installed a red security flasher about 1-1/2 weeks ago. I like it !
