Ok so I bought my cube with 80 miles on it brand new and it had this popping noise from front suspension and I took it to dealer they replaced the strut bearings because they have this problem often and that is usually the solution, it didn't work so they called nissan and nissan said to remove the strut relube everything and see what happens and that didn't work so they called nissan again and nissan said they have had this problem on some cubes and they have replaced the whole strut assembly to fix it so now I'm waiting for the dealer to get the struts in so it can be fixed.....anyone with this popping noise should take it in its a nisan problem its not caused from lowering springs or anything some cubes just have bad struts hope this helps

At the dealer as I speak, the new struts are installed and the noise is still there..
The dealer called nissan and nissan has came to the conclusion that during the making of my cube they might have missed a weld on the strut mounting location, causing the noise
Now they are setting up an appt. For me to come back to get the fenderwell re welded
How can this even happen?

I lowered my Honda Fit and I also now have a popping sound on my left rear. It was perfect before I lowered it.

It is interesting to hear the same symptom but in your case a possible weld issue.

I wish you a speedy recovery

Just got my cube back and so far no noise, they swapped the entire suspension system out with bransd new and still made noise, so they took it to their body shop and found a metal plate under the wiper cowl that was not bolted in properly they re torqued it to specs and now it makes no noise lol, so I guess that was the problem the whole time

Folks, what's the noise like? My 2009 Cube has developed a bit of play in the steering that I notice during sharp turns, esp at low speed (like a parking lot). It feels like something is loose...there's a small but noticeable clunk that I feel through the steering wheel, and a very small noise...kinda like going over small expansion joint. Is that anything like what you experienced?

I have the same issues on my 2015 Nissan Cube. I have change three strut mount bearing, and the problem is still there. I do think this faulty front end problem wont be able to fix until a renovation take place with the front end structure.

The answer to this workaround is really speechless.

I think I can try this too, or maybe it can solve my problem.

I think it sounds a lot like that.

I service my transmission axel and cv joints. It was a good thing I did, because no grease where in the boots. Since I have done that, those sections have been free and I no longer hear noise from the cv joints when I make deep turns.
