So I was reading my manual and just realized that the airbag Off light is supposed to come on when you don't have anyone sitting in the passenger seat. It is always off for me. I thought at first my purse was causing the airbags to stay on because I had it in the seat but even when it is removed the airbag OFF light doesn't go on. Is it really a big deal?

mine comes on when i start the car then eventually shuts off. now curious, going out soon and i will check. this is amazing how many people are on here during the day, is anybody working ???

The light will come up with the appropriate weight on the seat when driving when you get to, I am guess about 80lbs max??? the light will turn back off after you get a "fat" enough person in the front seat . I think anything lighter than 5lbs won't trip the sensor so the airbag light won't come on, but also when in an accident the airbag won't deploy if there is no one in the seat and also won't deploy until the appropriate amount of weight is added. You guys con correct me if I am wrong. I think it works some way like that.
