Probably pointless to ask, but has anyone heard about ANY CHANGES TO OPTIONS LIST since this is the time of the year when new changes/packages are incorporated...i.e. 2010 models??? N0t much use to ask someone from a dealership, as they never know anything anyway. I figure not, but always hoping............anyone??? :( :(

i'm still longing 4 a 6 speed with a rockford fosgate and push button start :(
Don't think you're going to find that combo.....at least not with what's currently offered for 2009.

The 6 speed is only available in the base 1.8 and the "S", and neither model is available with the push button start. Maybe the next model year will have better mix and match option packages. - Dan

Waiting for the 2010 too, mainly because I'm hoping it has a nav system like the Japanese version. And who knows what else it might have - sun roof? Arm rest? Plus, it'll be a year newer at trade-in time (if any, may be the last car I buy).

That said, weakening fast. I'll be ticked if it doesn't come out until May 2010. I guess one way to make it come out is to buy one today. Then it will come out the next day. :)

New model years are normally released in September of the prior year. When a new model is released late (like the cube during the model year, in May and no 2010 in September). It wouldn't surprise me at all if the 2010 were skipped and the next model year release to be a 2011 in September of 2010. - Dan

Well Nissan probably planned to release to 2009 in Sept of 2008 but hit some snags, so rather than wait till September 2009 to release it as a 2010 they may have decided to release it as a late 2009. It's hard to say what really transpired but who knows what goes on in the corporate auto industry. You just never know, it's late (only by a month), but they still might release a 2010 as another late model year entry at anytime, but I wouldn't hold my breath. With things being so late in the game, I wouldn't think a late 2010 release to be much different than what's offered as a 2009. I think the next major change as far as options / packages go will be in the 2011's. - Dan

Well, poop then. Anybody want to buy a 1998 Eclipse Turbo GS-T with 103,000 miles, $4000 worth of engine work, like new condition, in Dallas? Might as well do it. Worst case I have to get a tacky add-on nav box, I guess (not that I need it, just looks cool). Saw a perfect one, silver SL with Preferred and light pkgs. Probably gone now.

Whoa! Major position change, '98 Eclipse GS-T to a Cube. Characteristics of the two are way different. If I may be so bold as to enquire, what led you to this? (By the way, I'm not dissing either vehicle :).)

Yeah, quite a change from an Eclipse Turbo. Tired of the rough ride and noise, and like the Cube's safety features and roominess. Plus, it's different. May miss the performance and handling. Shux, maybe I'll keep it, but then I'd have to clean out half the garage.

Thinking about $5500. Most are going for $5000, but mine is low miles, one owner, like new, and loaded. Also has many suspension upgrades.

hana, great article on the 2011. Looks like I should go for it now.

google iguida.com nissan cube 2010 and or 2011
ohh thanks for pointing this out, hana  if it's true, the 2010 will come out early next year (spring?) and the 2011 model will be out next fall...now i don't feel so bad about my cube-on-order (to be delivered in a few weeks!!) being a 2009 model. one thing that confuses me, though, is that on another cube forum, someone mentioned ordering a 2010 and another person said their dealer will only be getting one more 2009 before the new ones arrive: http://www.cubeforums.com/forum/new-member-introductions/205-ordred-2010-cube-09-28-09-a.html

i wish model release dates were more standardized  or at least that car manufacturers would be more open about release dates. btw, check out nissan's website and notice that not all of the 2010 models are out: http://www.nissanusa.com/sav/index.html

Went back and drove one this afternoon to refresh my memory and check out the wind noise on the freeway. Got it up to 75 (had to lean forward and push on the floor with my feet j/k), didn't hear any excess noise. Pretty quiet overall.

They found a loaded silver SL somewhere but I didn't commit. They had no idea about the LED "Hyper Daylight Running Lights." Has anyone been able to get these? They're in the brochure. Pretty reluctant to come off more than $300 off sticker, so I'm trying to bargain with accessories. Their cost is peanuts on those.

I don't know if there are any dealers (or others -- eBay perhaps) that sell Cube accessories online at a discount. If there are, it can be a much more attractive price than pre-installed by the dealer -- however, you'd have to do the install yourself to enjoy the price benefit.
