Need help verifying part and where to replace broken wire

2009 cube automatic. After having a code thrown for possible bad ground I started digging for any broken wiring. I came across this unmarked box under the steering column with a broken green wire. I was unable to verify its function and am hoping you can assist me in fixing or leaving as is. The black box does have a min max adjustment, not sure what its function is. Thank you for looking.
