Yeah it can come off, its just held in place by Velcro.

I'm trying to figure out .... what's the dash rug for? I've tried putting things on it, but most items slide around when you make turns.

The dash shag is the only really stupid thing I found on the Cube. I drove home, took it off, removed velcro glue/hit it with ArmourAll and the Dash looks good,

When i got my CUBE the rug wasn't there, found in seat, left it off.

Dash rash? Did not like the concept, glad it was going to cost extra, that way I saved the $$$.
