Looking to put something stiffer than OEM rears on my standard suspension-equipped 2009 Cube. Since there's no more Tokico, it looks like only OEM style shocks are available.
I started comparing shock specs and found that the Toyota FJ Cruiser and certain years of 4Runner have a very similar spec and mount style. Probable physical differences are the upper threaded ends and the diameter of the lower mount bolts, neither of which would be insurmountable.
I understand that the valving is going to be different for a heavier rear-drive vehicle, but since I'm looking for stiffer it might be worth a shot? If they fit it opens up a huge number of rear shock options. For example, Bilstein Part Number:24-187558.
