I've seen your posts here and on other cube forums, but I thought you had one. Oh well that's the old assume thing...LOL

I enjoy reading your posts so keep it up, maybe you'll get a cube someday. I bought mine without ever seeing or driving one first. Even at that it's one of the most fun cars I've owned and I really love it. - Dan

Welcome to the site, what cube version peaks your interest and what options you thinking on?

I love my sugarqub and will hit the road (work road trip) with it tomorrow listening to Fox News on the XM Sat Radio.
That's kinda tough, but I've a liking for keeping the up-front price down and going after-purchase discount and aftermarket accessories. Although I like the Krom exterior package best, the price tag is out-a-sight, and so I'd say the 1.8S is a better fit (cruise control). The various audio options don't mean much to me since I lean aftermarket for that category :)! Color is always hard, but I'm thinking the Bitter Chocolate with light gray interior might work, and definitely the manual tranny.

The options prices for mudguards, sillguards, cargo organizer, and vehicle alarm impact sensor seem OK, so that would total an official $16,080. However, I really don't have either the garage space or the legal tender available, so I'll settle for enjoying the rides and discussion of people such as yourself :).

Minus the light interior, thats what I bought. The Aero kit gives a bit of the Krom look too. Anyway get a cube, you'll love it.

def get the standard tranny too

Thanks Dude :)! I appreciate your welcome, and am happy to be allowed to participate. Although I may not have Cube specific insights to offer, perhaps there are other ways that I can be supportive :)!

Best wishes and thanks again -- Trevor

The body kit definitely looks good, but the option price is a bit steeper than I'd want to go. Wonder if there're any discounters online? There's also the aftermarket, but I suppose it'll take awhile for that to develop.

By the way, congrats on your Cube -- sounds nice :)!

Thanks,

There is always the illegal tender :D
Sounds tantalizing, but I suspect I'm better off hanging my hopes on winning the LOTTO. Even 50/50 chances usually go South for me, so including an "illegal" factor would probably be all-she-wrote :(!

I really do think it would be a great fun car to tool around in though. It just has so much character :)!

PS. I like the Fit too, but it's a very different car (or should I say accessory :)?).

I bought an Mega Millions Ticket wile in GA as in AL the lotto is illegal. I hope I win, but know I just made a donation, and that is all.

You are correct about the Fit and Cube (I own both) they are very different vehicles and evoke different uses. The Cube is all about fun and style, the Fit is all about use, purpose, accessibility,MPG!

You cant compare the 2 vehicle because they are not in the same class, (although the salesman at a local Nissan dealer tried) they are not! There is only one vehicle on the road you can compare to the Fit to, and that is the Prius! I get 44 MPG in the Fit and the Prius up to 54!

I will cut you off at the pass here None! don't post!

Christine, I guess I can assume you live somewhere in Alabama since you recently went to GA and while there bought a lotto ticket...LOL

We're in TN where the lotto is a growing concern, but we've only been here a couple years up from Florida. I used to buy lotto every week in FL but for some reason just haven't gotten into the routine here.

Reminds me of a joke.

A man loses his job and prays for help, please lord give me the winning lotto ticket.

A week later he gets his car repossessed, pray's again.

A couple more weeks and they start to forclose on his house.

A month goes by, he can't find work so finally his wife and kids get fed up and leave.

He get's down on his knees and pray's again, please lord I need to win the lotto, all of a sudden he hears a loud clap of thunder. Then he hears a thunderous voice from the sky. It said, FRED meet me halfway....buy a lotto ticket. - Dan

If you'll excuse me, I read your "fleet" post and am aware of your automotive holdings. I considered the Fit in my own search, but although I liked and respected it, I was looking for greater capacity and a more relaxed price -- ultimate cost being the MPG, of course :(.

The Fit is clearly a darned good machine and worthy of serious consideration, but there are others, including the Cube, that have something very tangible to offer as well. Since you own a Cube and (given your above post), you appreciate the difference, I admire the practicality of your choice of vehicles and appreciate your "accessorize" joke! However, it's pretty clear accessories are not actually what you're about :)! You've upgraded your grills, any thoughts on where else you're interested in exploring?

Yeppers -- tell me about it :(!

But more importantly, I've just officially achieved "Gear Grinder" status -- thanks to all that helped that to happen :)!

PS. In other words, lot's of great threads people, happy cubing :)
