I think this was the quickest install that i have ever done.. i swear i had the stock deck out in 5 min tops.. I put in a CLARION 6.5 touchscreen dvd player.. it came out so smooth im pumped on that ... headrest moniters next... ;D

It looks like yours is centered and fits better than some of the Pioneers I've seen installed... even though DIN is supposed to be an industry standard.

Yeah - I have been looking at the JVC 7" touchscreen (KW-AVX820) and love some of the features it has. Did you have to buy a bypass for it to play without the e-brake on? What model number is that Clarion - I like the way that looks as well. I do want integrated Bluetooth though - so that does limit the options some.

I am with you on the headrests - thought about trimming those posts myself - I would bet it would help out the back window especially from the rearview mirror.

I already did cut the post .. it worked out good.. i took the back seat headrests out day one.. never liked them but cut the front down to sit flush.... and my head unit is the max385vd . . i did put in a little switch so i can watch dvds when im driving i will post a pic of that in a bit. it was super easy i didnt run any wires to the parking brake just to my switch that you hit twice and the dvd comes on.. its rad...

Nice, since you have an S you did not have to worry about steering wheel controls and such.

I dont understand the switch part? ??? you have to watch the DVD only if the parking brake is on??

I'm thinking about a replacement radio, that one looks sweet! For those of us with the SL and the iPod connector, does that work with a new head unit? I'd like to be able to use the existing iPod port if I can (even though it's oddly placed).

it is unlawful to drive and watch a movie.
