Well it’s official now, after 6 weeks of waiting I’m finally the owner of silver SL Cube. I picked it up yesterday.

I was really picky with what I wanted, SL trim with the Preferred Package, color silver, and to make it even more restricted I wanted the light gray interior.

And you ask why silver, well we all know the color silver provides the lowest coefficient of drag thus resulting in the best fuel economy. LOL

A few first impressions:

Definitely enjoy the intelligent key system.

I’m now feeling very self-conscious cause everyone is doing double takes as I drive down the road or in parking lots.

The low beam headlights really do cut off at a short distance.

A resounding yes :yes:, my only issue so far (knock on wood) was the extra 3/4 of qt of oil added to the engine which I didn’t discover until I got home from the dealer which was almost 300 miles later.

When I was looking for my cash for clunkers trade I had 3 criteria, in this order:

1) Upright seating position, I like to, that is my back likes me to sit like a truck or buss driver.

2) Fuel efficiency.

3) Price and it had to qualify for the cash for clunkers program.

I sat in many vehicles, looked at lots of mpg ratings and considered the cost of each. To me, the Cube was the best fit for all the above. And the styling was just "icing on the cake"

That is what is most important for any ride. You like it, it meets your needs. Some people tell you things like ugly car or what ever! So, you didnt buy it so move along with your bad self.
