I just had seat heaters installed, just in time for winter

I am in Montreal and they were installed by the upholstery guy, the switches are neatly installed near the handbrake, the heating pad goes underneath the seat covering.

Do these work very well??

I live in a warm climate area so I wont need it but our other Canadian friends will.

How much did they cost you ?. Here in Quebec city they ask over 600$ for the pair installed. The parts sell for 150$ so that means 450$ for the installation which I find quite extravagant.

Obviously, you do not know the feeling of sitting in a car that spent the night at -35Celsius ( sub zero farenheit) Bacon is good

I was stationed at Loring AFB Maine back in '73. One morning it was 70 degrees below zero in the wind. Mine was the only car which started that day. A '73 Super Beetle. Had it not been for the 2 foot thick blanket of snow insulating everything, I'm pretty sure mine wouldn't have started either. I became the SHUTTLE service up to the flight line that day. Of course, outside activities that day were strictly limited to "to and from buildings". Also, we had heavy boots, parkas, etc.

Also, experienced a 100 degree change in temp at FT Greeley in Alaska with in the space of about 6 hours. From 50 above to 50 below with the wind. brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr :yes: :yes: :yes:

Your reply reminds me of an old VW commercial where they asked if we wondered how the snowplow rider got to his snowplow during a heavy snowstorm: obviously, it was a beetle. ;D

So many memories....................drove that car through many states, even coast to coast, flying many

"red eye" missions and through so many adventures. Impossible to kill even after collisions and a rollover to boot. Many smokes and red eyed blokes. Enjoy those warmers !! :yes:
