For any of you guys that work at a dealership, is there any way of knowing when Cubes will be available without the mandatory Interior Designer Package? It may be pretty having the bungees and dash topper, but it is an extra $230 that I would not like to spend.

i was able to order mine without that package...i imagine if you go to a dealership and they have the car you want (with the exception of the interior package), you should be able to have them remove everything from the package and not have to pay for it.

It's possible to order it without, but the dealership cannot REMOVE the contents from the vehicle and not charge you for them as they show up on the window sticker. The Monroney label (window sticker) is a legal document and the manufacturer is required by law to supply the vehicle with all the equipment that is listed on it.

AyaRei: If you don't want the Interior Designer Package, the only way to not have it is to have the dealer order a Cube without it.

interesting...well, i only mentioned it because someone else posted here about having the ginormous package on their car minus the hood molding accent. he was able to have the dealer remove the piece and not charge him for it.
