I've only had my 2012 Cube for 2 years and it has 45K miles so I can't really answer your question yet. I will tell you that Nissan makes well engineered vehicles. My ride previous to my Cube was a 1994 Nissan 5 speed, D21 Hardbody Pickup. I bought it in 1999 with 40,000 miles on it and sold it with 285,000 miles. I owned it for 22 years and during all that time I only had to replace the alternator myself at a cost of $89. I only had to have the AC charged once and It was still putting out ice cold air when I sold it (I live in Phoenix, AZ, land of 115 degrees). Immediately after buying my truck, I changed the oil with Mobil 1 full synthetic and while I had it changed the oil every 6K miles. I paid $6,000 for that truck and sold it last spring for $2,250 (not a bad investment).

When I bought my cube I also immediately changed the oil to Mobil 1 and since it has a 6 speed manual I even changed the transmission oil to Mobile 1 75w-90w Full Synthetic gear oil. I expect my Cube to outlast me since I'm 70 and I'm OK with that. If you keep up with the maintenance Nissans will last a long time. If yours has a CVT, the regular fluid changes are a must, not a choice. There's a lot of discussion on this site about CVTs and to replace one will run you over $4,000. Treat your Cube well and it will treat you well.

Good luck my friend

I think it will last as long as the transmission lasts. I think that is the weakest (and most exepnsive) link for any car. With that in mind, make sure you change the cvt fluid every 60,000 miles or 30,000 if you drive in a hot climate or do a lot of fast highway driving (80 mph). Also, if you live in a winter climate, get you car's underbody washed on occasion. Road salt can be a car killer.
The Cube CVT is notorious for failure. I know it may seem like overkill but I’d change out the CVT fluid every 30K and immediately get a CVT oil cooler installed to keep the temp lower. That’s what we did. Do a Google search. I don’t feel I’m being cynical.
I have had mine since 2016. 09 with 89k, utterly reliable so far.

In 89k only the windshield wiper spray has broken. I took it to the dealer and they want diagnosis fee, I said forget it and just use a 2 dollar spray bottle and spray it myself.

I change the CVT fluid every 30k to 35k. Conventional oil every 5 to 7k miles. Flush the coolant and brakes every 50k.

Thats it.
Bravo for changing the CVT fluid every 30K. We do the same and added an external transmission cooler. Do this and it’ll last a long time.
All regular and religious maintenance and care aside, the Cube seems to be somewhat susceptible to rust. We live in the South and our Cube is garaged so this has not been an issue for us...except when the muffler rusted and fell off
I've got a 2010 1.6 manual that I purchased with 11,000 miles. In the three months I've owned it I've got it up to 116,00 and it runs like a sewing machine. It's all down to maintenance, mechanical sympathy and driving style.
With the right care scar can last decades.

It’s a dice roll. I bought our Cube from the original owner. All work done at Nissan. CVT was replaced at 60K. I bought it from her with 70K. Within a year a complete engine rebuild. Then the aftermarket head gasket failed; thank God it was covered under warranty. It’s now losing coolant slowly and no one knows why. No leaks. Tech says it’s internal. Total love hate relationship with this Cube.
