yeah its double sided tape..
According to the installation instructions, it uses plastic clips - http://www.courtesyparts.com/images/instruct/F5830-Z1209.pdf
The dealer told me it was double sided tape... and I didn't care for that piece anyway so I told them to leave it off when they installed my ginormous package.

This piece reminds me of a FFF for the xb...i want to see one installed...anyone got pics?
