FUEL RECOMMENDATION
Use unleaded regular gasoline with an octane
rating of at least 87 AKI (Anti-Knock Index)
number (Research octane number 91).
Wouldn't this mean that in the US the mid grade fuel of 91 Octane would be what Nissan recommends?

Good question.
The numbers we see in America are usually the AKI rating... so 87 AKI would be labelled "87 octane".

I need to check the pump more closely next time, because I am sure I've seen research octane numbers, and not AKI.
