Well took delivery of my CUBE yesterday! Was first one to buy from this dealer. Plan on doing modes to it next month. Going to paint, two tone, also put sunroof in. will post new pics after finished.

Why would you paint a brand new car? If you paint it, the quality of the work and durability of the paint will be no where near how it is now. That is, unless you intend on spending about $4-$5K on a paint job, OR you are a painter/bodyman yourself. Oh, just in case u were wondering, I used to work at a body shop.

The reason I am painting it is that i don't want my cube to look like anyone else's. My painter didn't give me that high of price, and yes he will be painting the door jams. Also forgot to mention that i have an aero kit package comin for my cube too. Dealer says it's and add on accessory, so i either pay to have put on or i do it myself. Have to wait 2-3 weeks for it.

of course your painter is not going to give you that high of a price; that price range of a paint job has a lot more labor in prep work to ensure straightness. Most cars that have aftermarket paint jobs all become ripply and wavy when u look down the side of the car. That's what you pay big money to reduce/eliminate. :)

The choice is yours, I just wished to inform you so that you are aware of the compromise you make to your car just to be different. Don't get me wrong, I have been in your shoes; I painted my current car as well. A $7000 job that cost me half becuase I worked at the shop. And that price includes the fact that I was charged only 4 hours for all inners (door jams and what not). Is my paint as good as factory? Close, but never on par. Why did I paint it? Well, I bought a 91 Integra in year 2000. 9 year old car.

Best wishes.

That looks really neat.

I wonder what it would look like with the top half black and with black rims?

I've always thought that black and red look good together.

That is a nice looking Cube as it sits, in my opinion.

The silver is going to be down alittle farther, like where the circle crease is from the windows. That does looks nice, thanks GrenZeiran. How about with two of the spokes on the rims painted red? Across from each other!

My favorite color is a bright yellow, but the color is just too much! My idea for my silver SL is based on a silver, black and yellow Nike running shoe that I have. I'm just not sure how to do it. Obviously the base color is silver, but I would love some yellow and black in there......any ideas? Love your other ideas......so much fun making it your own, isn't it??
