This has happened twice now while I was in the car, so I know my SO isn't feeding me a line of bull. When she presses the button to turn the car off, the engine shuts off, but the entire car does not shut down. for example, the first time I saw it happen, the radio remained on, the doors remained locked, and I never heard the whirring noise (I believe that's the interior lock engaging for the transmission handle). The second time the radio was already off, but again, no whirring noise and the doors remained locked.
Anyone else noticed this? I realize you can double-push the button without stepping on the brake to enable everything (my guess at what happened the first time I saw it), but I watched closely the second time it happened and she had her foot on the brake and did not press the button twice. I'm hoping this is simply a mistake on her part (sequence is wrong, etc.) and not a bug in the keyless entry system. If it's a bug, one of these days she won't notice it and leave the car accessories running for a long weekend and kill the battery.
