The strut tower bar is mainly a chassis rigidity part that keeps the frame from twisting under hard cornering. Usually the construction of the sway bar is key as to how effective it is.

Tower bars, and Underbracing, all do similar things.

Tanabe has strut tower bars in R&D right now too for the US market cube.

The JDM Tuning blog is a dead link, so after some digging on Cusco's JDM website in english a search brought up these PDFs.

It looks like Coilovers, and Throttle control, and some other items, but I'm not familiar enough with Cusco's line up outside of Coilovers, Strut Bars, LSD, and Rollcages.
