Maybe this spring, would anyone like to maybe work on organizing a Cube meet on 129, a.k.a The Tail of the Dragon? I've been to some Z meets and I really love the tail. Granted this would (probably) be about hauling balls on the Dragon, but it's a great place to meet all kinds of automotive enthusiasts, and the views are absolutely breathtaking.

I was thinking that perhaps if we didn't think we'd have enough Cubes, we could go one of two backup routes:

1)Attach ourselves to an overall Nissan Meet

<or>
2)Make a Boxcar meet for owners of Scion xB, Nissan Cube, Kia Soul, and Ford Flex.

I know option number two adds a lot of models, and two more manufacturing countries to the list, but at heart I think all box owners are the same quirky people...well I think so at least; I'm quirky, lol.

Lemme know what you think.

As a motorcyclist, I'm glad I was able to "slay the dragon" many times before the interweb ruined it. I did my part too raving about it but it's too much of a circus now and The Man has noticed and is there in force. No thanks. :no:

I do agree, that the popularity has kind of killed it in a way, but you can't take away the beauty of the area. Plus, in our cars are you really going to try to Initial D that shit... I mean really? I think it's a pretty cruise and a good place that's pretty centralized on the east coast. BAL PM me and let's see if we can work out some logistics.

I just want a nice place to meet that's gorgeous, and if done right can be a safe and fun time. If hanging out and talking cars isn't enough, there's always the over-touristy Pigeon Forge just about 20 minutes away.... go ride some slow carts or play Jurassic Park golf, lol.

Virginia is also nice. Hmmm I've never heard of Skyline Dr. I may have to look this up. I'm open to alot of options, I just want to do something fun that alot of people can get on board. I picked the Dragon, because there are alot of meets that go on there, and I love driving on it (be it fast or a cruise), and there are ALWAYS enthusiasts out there to talk to. I am open to suggestions, so keep them coming.

That sounds like a nightmare. When I went in 07, there was a pair of guys driving S2K's. One was from Osaka, Japan; the other a professional log hauler that drove the road everyday in a rig. Lemme just say; they were both KILLING it.

OK Guys, here's what's up. My friend has a first gen xB, and they are going to Boxed in the Dragon. He asked if his buddy with the cube could come and they didn't mind. So that's going to be March 26-28. I'm gonna be there then and I am asking other cube-owners to come with, so that we can hang out, meet and mingle with our boxcar cousins. :yes:

We're in the process of getting our cabin... I'll post more info as it comes along. Hit me up with PM's or on here if you are interested. I think this is gonna be fun. So what if we don't have prizes to hand out, let's all go for the hell of it, and we'll pick some stuff out to do, and a few places to eat. Then we'll work on 2011... sound like a plan?
