I'm in love with this car and saving my money for downpayment. I just missed the clunker program . Who keeps their expired registrations anyway? Well now I have time to research and price the model I want. I'm reading all the stuff that owners talk about so I will get the best bang for my buck. Are those lights under the dash as cool as they look or do you really need them? I'm set on red, automatic trans,and aero package. Everything else I'm not sure of. Any suggestions folks?
PART 2 9/24/09, I went to my Credit Union today to check for low interest loan. If I don't get a Cube soon, I' bust! I found two in my area in the color I want with all the extras. If I get aproved for finacing, I'm going to contact the dealers and have them duke it out. I'll let you all know if the price gets better.

Who knew there were two styles of sptoilers? Thanks for all the input. This virgin can't wait to bust a cherry,ha.

Chrissy your best bet is to get one with all the features you want, it's a lot easier to buy a car with them as opposed to doing the installtion later, unless of course you're very much mechanically inclined and like to do this kind of stuff. Myself as an example. I was mainly interested in an "S" model because it has cruise control whereas the base doesn't (nor is it an option), I prefer a manual transmission and it's not available in the SL or KROM. Color wasn't really an issue and the 20 color light option just isn't something high on my list of "Need to have". I would have liked fogs which my car doesn't have, but it's an easy DIY upgrade that pretty much anyone can do.

Everything else I would want for my cube would be in the modification arena which is right up my alley cause that's what I do anyway. And this will come in due time...LOL

Cube virgin, eh? *suppress lustful thoughts* Welcome! The options you listed are decent. Any more than that might be overdoing it. I'm not a fan of the aero package, but if it makes you happy...

I'm just going for the rear roof spoiler - not the whole aero package as I'm also not a fan. But I do like how the spoiler looks by itself. The dealer had one in the showroom with just the spoiler or I would never have thought of it. The interior lights would be cool but I'm pretty sure the novelty of it would wear off for me.

Ditto on the rear roof spoiler. It would have to be the Krom-style spoiler, not the Aero-style spoiler. I like the gap the Krom spoiler has as opposed to the other one.

Amazingly enough, the under dash lights are worth it to me, and what, $460 for the combo of that and the kickplates is worth it to me. I know I could spend about $40 and have a single color led bar in the same places under the dash, but having a changeable mood lighting inside your car is nicer. Alot better than the sound-reactive speaker rings in the Soul. Those became old for me before the commercial was over...

You may not see it that way, but I am just offering my views.

I bought it! I'm in love. It's so much fun to drive and it has so many options. I went a little overboard but when you have multiple dealers trying to get your business, they make offers you just can't refuse. :roll: It's red with the spoiler and ground effects. I'll check back with how things are going.
