I'm curious as to what Cube model everyone bought or is thinking of buying.
I went with the SL because I liked the color option and the gun metal wheels. Also having the interior options, bluetooth, keyless start, satelite radio and ipod hookup were nice stuff I wanted.

I bought the SL with the ginormous package. I didn't really care for the grill on the Krom but I liked the Aero kit.

I wanted a SL, glad I got a S, would have paid extra for all the ipod, sat radio and wheels just to replace them anyway (leaving the non working interfaces).

i plan on buying an S because the extra features of the SL/krom don't excite me much. in fact, the only reason i'm going with the S model is because i want one in blue ;)

I bought a Silver SL off the dealer showroom floor so its loaded with every available package. Also bought a 2009 Rouge so its nice having XM and bluetooth options no matter which car I decide to take

i think the SL offers just enough of the right stuff, so that when you're ready to truly make it personal, you've got a nice platform from which to start. i think once the factory tells you what visual upgrades are cool, the novelty wears off fast. make your own cube what you want it to be, not what the mfr says. for top of the line, i think they missed the mark when they didn't offer intelli-key with it. c'mon now...it's supposed to have all the bells and whistles, right?

I went with an "S" package. did not know about a Krom package (availability for Canada?), but the only upgrade I would have liked from the SL was the fog lights, and I can get that done after-market. The intelligent key is a nice toy but, as my father would say, it's just one more thing that can go wrong.

I like the SL. Krom needs to add the Intelligent key and some fog lights. Why the top model doesn't have every option I don't understand.

1 Person on this forum is not going to buy a Cube :D They just like hanging out here chatting about a car they wont buy :D

OK you need something to do! Go wash my Cube! ;D

I looked at the price break across the lines and added up the cost of accessories and said HEY! the SL package was the way to go.

Cube $13,990
Cube S $14,690
You get little for $700

Cube SL $16,790
For $2100.00 you get:
16 Aluminum wheels and CVT
plus auto air, better speakers, auto lights, I-Pod and more

Aluminum aftermarket wheels will cost you at least $1000 with tires and TPMS sensors <-and those would be bottom basement closeout wheels. So if you can get wheels for that price you get the rest for $11,000.

It was a cost analysis that just made sense, mine has the preferred package so I have all the bells and whistles, back up sensors, keyless car, XM, fog lights and more.

Christine ;)

Got the SL with preferred package. I think this is one of the best, if not THE best, bang 4 buck setups in the under $20k field with decent mileage in the market. That it's funky cool too is icing on the cake.

The SL looks good on paper until you get to the no 6 speed option. That is what sold me on the S, I love to shift my own gears.

Originally wanted an S, but for some reason they didn't offer automatic... so I had to jump up to SL. For me a manual transmission made no sense. It's not like the Cube is a performance car!

Also, I love the cross style rims that come with the SL. I am not going to switch them out ever... they are perfect!

i refuse to vote. you didn't include the 1.8. all the blah-blah that comes with the boring, expensive automatic would just get replaced in mine anyway :p

I opted for the Krom edition. Probably not the best move, but all of the others on the lot were identical and I got a Cube to be different, not the same. It had things I liked better and things that I didn't, but in the end I'm happy to have it. My least favorite things are audio controls on the steering wheel and the upgraded speakers. I like to do the audio myself and the wheel controls make things difficult. Plus the upgraded speakers will likely sound nearly as bad as the standard factory speakers. I assume this as I listened to a Fosgate system in a Nissan truck at the dealer and it was worthless. By the time the sub was audible, I thought I was going to blow the front speakers.

well 1.8 isnt there -___- why is that?!?
i got a 1.8 because i wanted a stick over the CVT and the S doesnt really come with much more for 700$
and the SL sounds great but cost to much more. yeah it comes with wheels but its STOCK wheels for about 1k.
i can get some good after marker wheels for that much and much better looking

Hey--

I'm a little confused. I see a couple of posts here saying that the S doesn't come with a CVT (a dealer tried to tell me that this weekend too, despite me seeing several S CVTs on his lot). Do you just mean that it doesn't come STANDARD? Or am I completely missing something? I'm getting closer to buying my cube--have built it countless times on the website, and keep coming back to an S with the CVT....
