I got a new radio and it has a standard coax type antenna recepticle, but of course the cube has Nissan's own fanch hookup. I bought an antenna wire adaptor and now have a question. The adaptor has the antenna wire and a second wire (mine has blue). Does anyone know what the extra wire is used for? - Dan

Could that be the lead out for a power antenna???
I don't think so because it's coming IN from the antenna - Dan

Got it figured out. The antenna in our cars are what Nissan calls a diversity antenna. When you adapt an aftermarket head unit you obviously plug in the one wire to the standard motorola antenna jack. The other wire on the adaptor needs to be connected to the power antenna wire of the new head unit. I did this to mine a few minutes ago and man what a difference. Without that wire hooked up I could barely pull in any radio stations. But now I have way more stations than I thought we had. - Dan

You're almost right, although it's from the antenna (not powered) it does hook up to the head units power antenna wire. It's called a diversity antenna. - Dan
