My wife and I consider our dogs as our family and they are always part of all our major purchases (boats, cars and houses).
Back in 2003 we saw the (then) new MINI Cooper, fell in love with it and bought one. We were pleased when we read that the new MINIs had a bulldog look and stance. The stuffed bulldog from the dealer, with his name MINI on his collar, has ridden in our car ever since.
Two weeks ago, my wife told me she saw an unusual car on the road, she said it was cute, described the asymmetrical rear window and asked if I had seen one. I hadn’t.
Last week, she discovered it was the Cube, looked up the specs on line and was intrigued.
We had our wish list for color (bitter chocolate), model (1.8SL), options (Preferred, Interior Illumination and Interior Designer) and went for a test drive.
We were stunned to find a car that perfectly matched our wish list sitting on the lot. Did a test drive and 4 hours later drove home with our second automotive bulldog.
And the car’s name: Nemo. After my wife’s first childhood pet, a bulldog named Nemo!
