OK, it's been raining here everyday for over two weeks, the sun would peek out every now and then. I've had to drive for some extended periods but the cube has also been parked off and on. Now it's raining....again. So I went out and washed the front (where I have a huge bug collection) and the windshield and now I'm going to let the rain do the rinsing. So....am nuts? I'll still go out once the rain has stopped and wash it again, then I'll wax it if needed. - Dan

I think you have an obsessive washing and waxing compulsion.

That’s why I bought a silver colored cube. I’ll be the first to admit silver is not the most impressive color. I’m always impressed when I see a dark colored car which is nicely detailed. But I can tell you my silver colored cube looks a lot better dirty than a similarly dirty dark color cube.

If I had free time, my cube would always be spotless. I just happen to work over 50 hours a week and can only put in a quality wash or wax on the weekends.

I do clean my windshield daily.

Na you are not crazy, some insects have a mild acidic property to there blood if you want to call it that. The lovebugs in Florida are a perfect example. If you leave the carcass on the vehicle to long it damages the clear coat pretty bad.

I got this cool wand from Wally World that you load with soap and hook to the hose. It make an impromptu wash a snap and yes even in the rain as the rain softened up all the dried on stuck on bug stuff, thus a quick soapy removal of the offending insect and grime.
