Hi all, my 2004 Nissan cube 1.4L was DEAD SLOW constantly for 12 months, I'm talking 20kph going up a hill when I'm FULLY stepping down on the pedal. Last month I changed the spark plugs and the fuel pump and now I hold the the acceleration pedal down and it jolts, trying to go fast then slowing down again, occasionally for maybe 5 minutes at a time it will FULLY work and go fast again, kicking down etc. So it went from never working before the two changes to working 1/4 of the time.

My question is which of these is most likely to be my next step in replacement?

Oxygen sensor
Catalytic converter
Coil packs

Thankyou!!

Are you getting a MIL (service engine soon)? If so, check the code. Doubt the O2 or CAT would cause the problem. Maybe coil. Could also be a throttle control issue. Either of those should throw a code. If there's no codes then you may need somebody with a fully equipped shop (including diagnostic computer) to check it out.
