Finally found a responsive salesman. Called me back within five minutes on a question about what the LED "hyper daylight running lights" are. No details on where they go, but the price is about $470 plus installation. Ouch. Anyone seen these? Another salesman NEVER called back. But he called again today and said that his sales manager expects 2010s in November, not Spring as is often speculated. He'll call when confirmed.

The 2010 Versa was announced Oct. 5 and he has those on the lot already. Interesting that it now has a navigation system, so perhaps the 2010 Cube will too since they share a lot of parts. I kinda wanted that even though many say a portable unit is better and cheaper. The 2010 Honda Fit has a voice-activated one for $2500 - 25% of the entire cost of the car I looked at. The only thing better about the Fit is the flat-folding (but not sliding) rear seats. Cavernous in there. Otherwise, missing too many luxo features of the Cube such as auto air and iPod connection. And it is constantly shifting up and down on the highway - drove me NUTS! Much slower on hills too. Despite claiming to have traction control, it constantly spun the inside tire on turns on wet streets. Nice, but no Cube.

I'll report on the 2010 as soon as I hear something.

Yeah, the Cube really is very nice when it comes to traction on wet streets.

Just remember though that traction control systems typically don't work below a certain speed. I can't remember the speed except that maybe it is 15mph?

My Cube will spin the tires from a stop. BUT, it does have that simulated/brake contolled limited slip differential so that both tires will spin instead of just the one with the least amount of traction.

yep, the 2010s will indeed be here in november. figures my cube will be from the very last batch of '09s  for what it's worth, though, there probably won't be anything noticeably different between the 2009 and 2010 models.

But, ours will be "year ones" - at least for the US market. That to me means something - especially if the hotness of the car continues to grow as it seems it is (and with very minimal changes at all - what's to jump up and down about a "year two" for).

Now, if the add the arm rest and the Shoji screen sunroof - then...

True, gCube. I always liked the 1955 T-bird and 1965 (1964 actually) Mustang the best. I only waited in hopes of having a nav system (low hopes for moon roof) and to have a one year newer model in case I ever trade.

yeah, that's what i thought when trying to look at the bright side of getting an 09 ;) on the one hand, it will be "worth" less than a 2010 simply because of the model year change, but i'm hoping to drive my cube into the ground and never have to worry about selling it. and it's always cool to have one of the firsts!

Coolguy, at this point you could get a 2010 faster than your 09 model. Is girl ever getting her car??
haha, i was thinking that...but it would depend on how many 2010 cubes they will be getting. the ETA for my car is now "sometime at the end of october," and i'd have to wait until the end of november, at the earliest, for a 2010. and that's assuming they'd get a blue 6-speed in the first batch.

It's odd that they didn't mention the 2010 Versa till Oct. 5th. Mom got on in early Sept. About 2weeks after I bought my cube. I remember it being 2010 because I was pissed that mom bought a car two weeks after I did and it's "a whole year newer."

of course, as soon as you start modding, the value takes another dive :(!
That's why I'm really wanting everything I do to be able to be undone. I Think I am going to go for some more aggressive fitment, but I'm not gonna do a crazy pull, but even coilovers and stereo and even a bodykit can be undone. Just mod smart and you can still take the car back to OEM, and sell your used parts and hel another cubist as well!

Thanks, blkbizkit.

What is "Display audio 4.3 color unit?" Is that a nav system? Will the SL also have a backup cam, at least as an option? Might be cool but not a deal breaker, just nice to razz my friend with a Lexus. :)

I kinda like the Krom but the lack of keyless entry was the killer. Oh - and lack of fog lights.

No moon roof, I take it. :(
