A friend of mine made a list for me of what should be the proper replacement and LED bulb sizes. From what I was told the manual and FSM list the bulbs in Euro sizes and most LED sites only show the American sizes. I have not had a chance to verify this list. If anyone sees anything listed incorrectly please let me know. Thanks

I haven't replaced mine yet, but I think that both of these should be the 7507 bulbs, with the pins offset from each other. In any event, you have 2 different cross-references for the PY21W, which doesn't seem right.

Nice catch. Thank you.

Could someone please tell me what the replacement for PY21W 21w and PY21W 16w is supposed to be?

Wait those chrome bulbes actually flash in Amber?? ???

I have been looking for LED for that spot
Yea, they do. I have these ones in my MINIs, and they look pretty nice - http://autolumination.com/titaniumseries.htm No ugly orange showing through when the bulbs are off, but they light up in amber. I plan to get them for the cube once I confirm the correct size.

So, I just took apart some of the lights on my cube to confirm bulb sizes.

- The front and rear turn signals are both 7507-type bulbs.
(For reference, these are similar to 1157s, except that the pins that lock them in place are not directly opposite each other. 7507 - http://superlumination.com/images/auto_bulbs/bau15s_wm.jpg 1157 - http://superlumination.com/images/auto_bulbs/ba15s_wm.jpg)

- The tail/stop lamp is definitely a 7443, a dual-filament wedge-base bulb.

- The back-up lamp is a 921, a smaller, single-filament wedge-base bulb.

- The side markers on the front fenders are 194/168-style small wedge-base bulbs. I "borrowed" a pair of these "5-LED matrix" bulbs from one of the MINIs to test fit in the cube, and they look & work great. About 1/3 of the way down here - http://autolumination.com/194.htm

- The cargo-area bulb is a 31mm festoon lamp. The central dome-light is the same size.

- The front dome/map lights are 194/168-type bulbs (this has been discussed elsewhere, but I figured I'd include it here anyhow.

I didn't remove the front side-marker lamps (behind the amber lenses beside the headlights) because it appeared that would be a major pain. I also didn't check the license plate lamps.

Edit: For reference, the front turn signal bulbs can be removed without removing the light cluster if you have small and/or flexible hands and can reach the twist-out bulb holder to manipulate it.

License plate lights are 194's wedges as well - already replaced those with 5 LED wedges - looks awesome...

Common size on the festoons is 3022 - I used the 3022 x 9's from superbrightleds.com and they are incredible...

I think some of the confusion comes into the name of the bulbs locations.

I went to Autozone and the guy told me the turn signals were 194. No those are the side marker lights.

Turn signals are the forward/rear facing and side marker are on the fenders front and rear.

Parking (front side marker) <---that is also confusing. Those are running lights.

The list looks correct to me. You can take the question mark off the 7443 stop/tail lamp. Also, I think that the first item (front turn) is a duplicate (with parking/front side marker/whatever you call it). If it's not a duplicate, its name could be clarified since it's not the main front turn signal bulb.

You may be able to maneuver the pins so they may fit, but I wouldn't try it. It's easier just to go with the right code bulb.
yeah but some sites sell bulbs and they just say 1157-7507 as if they were the same bulb
7507 hard to find
im buying yellow bulbs from halo and they dont make 7507 so im just going to try the 1157 bulb

bumping a 10 month old thread...

has the 7507 vs 1157 thing been worked out? can we use the 1157 bulbs?

Also any chance on making this a sticky in the electrical section?

Also might help to add number of bulbs needed..

I just figured out how to replace the rear tail light bulbs. I will take photos when I get my Silver Vision Bulbs from Philips. Yes I am going to install the silver look bulbs on the front and rear. After much research the Philips seem to be the best as far as brightness and value. $19.00 for a pair of them, Stealth wants $29.00 I think so that's a $20.00 savings for the two pair. From what I have read the Philips are a bright as the stock bulbs..... photos coming soon.....
