Disabling factory bluetooth module, 2014 SL

It's been a long time since there has been forum activity about this so in matches I've found I've encountered missing photos and broken links.

I have a 2014 SL without navigation. It's the factory stereo with an orange/yellow LCD and handsfree bluetooth calling (no music streaming).

I am planning on replacing the stereo soon. I notice that for my steering wheel controls to work with the new stereo I am going to have to disable the factory bluetooth module (I also know that I'm going to have to get an adapter for the aftermarket stereo). I've seen mention that it might be under the driver's seat or under the passenger seat. It looks like they put it behind the passenger side turn signal in the newer Versa Note hatchbacks.

Where is that module in my car? I'm hoping I don't have to remove seats and pull away carpeting to access it but I'd like to know what I'm in for before I start investigating.

Thanks,
