2009 CVT w/ 114k miles

So I work at a shop and the guys tell me my cvt is going out. Will Nissan still replace this under warranty? I am the only owner of the car.

I believe that Nissan Canada extended their warranty to 10 years and 200,000 km. As long as you have owned it for less than 3.658 days you should be covered. You better get into a Nissan dealer TODAY to document your problems.

Out of curiosity, have you ever serviced the CVT? If so, how often?

I am asking because we have about 50,000 miles on our 2014 and the local dealer claims it doesn't need a fluid change yet.

Nissan/Inifiniti recommends the fluid should be changed every 60,000 miles, unless you drive in really harsh conditions like pulling a trailer (unlikely for a Cube) or drive in a hot climate year-round like the Southwest USA.

Contrary to belief no matter what the car all fluids of some type has to be replaced don't believe the life of the car BS. Fluids are way cheaper to replace than transmission or engine.
