Manual

Hello! I’m thinking about getting a cube but I’ve heard the CVT transmission is terrible. Does anyone know if there has been reported problems with the manual?

Ive has a 2010 cube manual for 6 years now and no problems, I believe the 2009 and 2010 cvt has a recall on the cube. Unfortunately Nissan has one of the worse CVT
of all Japanese cars especially the Altima. The manual cube has now issues what so ever with the transmission.

I bought my cube with 33k miles on it, its a 6 speed. No issues whats so ever and now it has 87k miles on it. I would never buy
a Nissan CVT car period. They're horrible from what I researched toyota CVT is one of the best so is KIA. I have done some performance upgrades on my cube

1. Catback exhaust
2. nst lightweight pulley
3. takeda intake
4. strut bar
5. front and back ultra racing unbrace.

the car drives so much better with these mods.
Also signature series amsoil synthetic oil good for 25k the engine runs so much better with amsoil

Yeah the CVT is so bad the 2010 model I own came with a 10 year 100000 mile powertrain warranty. The CVT is the best in the business and is what you will find in most of their vehicles.

If you really believe the engine runs better with a different oil and drives better with those toys installed I have an excellent real estate investment you just have to purchase.

Obviously, you haven't installed any or use the fluids, otherwise, even if you had you would know any power boost for the cube makes a world of difference. And no Nissan cvt is one of the worst in the auto industry if you do your homework you'd know that. Its a piece of **** thats why they gave you such a long warranty, because the 2009 had a recall on them.

I've had a 2010 6-speed manual for 5 years and 25,000 miles(43,000miles on vehicle). My sister had a 2010 CVT and she is a very conservative driver, the transmission went out at 60,000miles and was replaced under warranty. My car is very low mileage so may not be much help, but I've had no issues with the car at all.

The whole 10 year 100,000mile powertrain warranty was to avoid bad press on the eventual recalls and class action lawsuits that would have followed suit if they hadn't done that preventative measure. If they hadn't done this they would be in the same boat as Ford is right now with their garbage DCT on the Fiesta and Focus.
