Ok, here's the quick question...  Will the digital climate control interchange with the regular knob style climate control setup?  I think the plugs on the rear of the climate control are the same.  However I am not positive if they are interchangeable or not.

I had a digital climate control in a 2011 Cube, but I was hit head on and it was a total loss.  I loved the cube so much that I bought another one.  It unfortunately has the 3-knob style CC.  I've seen several digital climate controls for sale on the internet fairly cheap.  But before buying one I wanted to make sure I'm not wasting my money.

Any Nissan technicians that can lend some insight here?   Smiley

It is afterall a VERY easy swap that even a child could do.  Only two screws holding in the climate control unit, and only two plugs on the reverse side of it to plug in.

Thanks guys!!!!

Some people looked up for doing this and found out that it was harder than they believe. It was way more than just swapping the manual to auto climate control . There is a sensor too you'll need to get. You'll truly get a headache on this, I wouldn't waste time on this.

The wiring plugs are different on auto hvac vs the manual hvac. Plus you have to add about 23 different items (give or take a few items). You will need things like the blend motor, sunlight sensor, the wiring harness and other things like that.

well, when I purchased the new cube that I have now it came with navigation, backup camera, and satellite radio. It also came with the nice blue interior with the light grey piping. So the only thing I had to sacrifice on was going from digital climate control to the climate control with the 3 knobs. I even got wheels and a spoiler. So I was pretty satisfied with the vehicle that I was getting for the price that I was paying overall.

So long story short if I have to sacrifice the climate control, I am fine and can live with that. Heh.....

From what I've read so far on theses so auto climate control, some enjoy them and some not, it's biases. For myself, why I still enjoy driving cars with manual transmission is I still enjoy to have ''control'' of the car and the feeling of it. And it's the same for this kind of climate control, I still enjoy having control of it, this is maybe why, I've worked hard to find a way to get rid of the auto A/C when selecting defrost and feet/defrost.

It would've been a big no for me. Never tried it but know it's not for me or in my main criteria to pick up a car.
