I'm new to the forum, so I hope this is in the right place to post this. I'm not sure, but I'm going for it!

So, I just bought a 2009 Cube S. I looooove my Cube, I've named it Rubix(ks). Cheesy I'm planning on doing a few mods to ramp it up a bit, but I wanted to take care of some annoyances first. I got rid of the dealer crap, I hated it. Now the pin stripe.

Idk if it's possible to remove the pinstripe without scratching my paint too bad, if anyone could tell me what to use and how to do it, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks.

If you have any suggestions on some mods I can do, I'd love that too!

The cube is a 2009...I would assume that theses strips are there for at least a good 3 years. With time, the sun can change a little the color of the paint, I'm afraid you would get a darker black under theses strips once remove compare to the rest of the cube color. They look to be a good 1cm large... They ain't that bad too, but still, the cube would look better without them. Up to you, you can take the risk to remove them and see if there's a long and darker strip a around once remove. You can use a heat gun or hairdryer to peel it out.

Ahhhh, you made a really good point. I think the pinstripe is very well placed, it doesn't look too high or low and it's curved at the front to follow the hood. It just kind of annoys me to be honest. Maybe I'll get it removed when/if I get it repainted in a few years. Thanks for all your help! Smiley

a nice choice with 2009 Cube S. It has certain warranty period and will work fine for years. Of course you need to keep an eye on it too.

I would just remove it. I'm not a huge fan of pinstripes anyway. Passed a white Cube on I35 this last weekend on the way home from vacation and just didn't like the look. Try a heat gun. You'd be surprised how well those stripes can hold up, and I wouldn't think there would be that big of an issue with fading after only 3 years.

Yeah, decided to repaint the whole damn car. Lol Paint has some big chips and scratches plus I'm not a huge fan of the "bitter chocolate" so I'm gonna either get the paint freshened up or repaint it all together. Thanks for the advice guys.
