I've had my cube for about 11 months and it's seen the dealership more than my Toyota has in 8 years. The main problems I've been having deal with electrical, the braking system and the heater now that's its been "cold" in Arizona.

I plan on calling to make an appointment for Friday because I'm tired of my brake pedal falling to the floor and having to pump it to make the car stay stopped or to stop. It doesn't happen all the time, but when it has I've been going less than 5 MPH or I was already stopped. They claimed to have inspected it about a month and a half ago and ever since then I've been having problems. I also noticed my rear window defogger doesn't work at all and my heater isn't constant with the heat unless I have it on recirculated air with AC on causing it to use a lot of gas. The windows and interior lights don't always work either which is more of an annoyance than a safety concern.

Has anyone had these problems or have had as many as I have? It's a 2011, but some of the problems I have are associated with the 2010 models.

Wow thats a lotta problems for 11 month old car. Kinda hard to believe unless u're one of those picky picky customer we get at our dealer who complaints of their imaginary problems...lol but i hope u're not.
Anyways I bought my 2010 Cube SL used and at the time it had 55k. now i drove my cube for year n 2 months with not a single prob. never had to go to dealer for anything except the oil change that i do myself.

The windows and interior lights don't always

i think its the door lock and window switches. on my nissan versa the door lock and the driver window switch lights up. on my cube the only light that lights up on the driver side door is the window switch, also on my cube  mirrow switch light just went out.  Smiley

mine just turned 25,000 miles yesterday and not a single issue in the almost 2 years I've owned it. It sounds like whoever did the wiring on your Cube was hungover that day in the factory. More frustrating is that you seem to be at a dealership that's not good at fixing issues but great at making excuses. Maybe try another dealership?

I think that's an understatement lol, I just tried to look for something in my cube last night with the overhead light and it doesn't stay on when I flip the switch to "on". This is the best dealership that's close to me and willing to help. The one where I bought the cube at originally doesn't train the employees that well and they messed up parts of my car a couple times causing some engine problems that I believe are still affecting my car today. The other two that near me have slightly better employees, but if you call in with a problem they won't see you that day and they'll make you wait a week and they tried to scam me into an 11,000 mile checkup and new brakes and tried to scam my dad into purchasing a broken 2011 Murano cross cabriolet for about a month
I have an appointment for Friday with about a page and half worth problems and scenario's, and if they can't fix it I'll try a different dealership in another part of the valley.

Mine got 73 000km, going to be 3 years I own it next month, no real big issues. Maybe just the front discs that heated and were waved at 32 000km. Besides of this, I can't complain on the car.

I worded it wrong, the windows don't always work properly or have thumping noises and the interior lights don't always work.

My Cube's about 11 months old and its interior lights stopped working a couple of weeks ago.  Might be an issue with a fuse, but it's not serious enough (IMO) to take it to get looked at in advance of the next scheduled service about a month from now.

Looks like a good excuse to upgrade to LED lighting, no?

I should be getting my cube back today and what they found wrong was my dome light needed to be replaced, the rails where the window is needed to be lubed up, and a trim applique piece was making my windows not work properly because it wasn't fitted right. My braking system appears to be fine; however, they said when I had no braking ability was the ABS kicking in and offered no help other help with that.

Does anyone's cube not have the proper lubricant amount or any at all? This is the second thing that's had to be lubricated; the first was my front axle and they said it probably came like that from Japan.

I live in Peoria and haven't had any problems really, except an occasional rattle that I think maybe the throwout bearing. I have had my 2010 cube for about 14 months now. Bought it with 12,000, now about 30,000. Sorry to hear that about the dealership.

46,000 miles on my 2010 in 25 months. No issue's to date. Little engine noise at idle, but it is a timing chain engine.

Sounds like you got a dud. Sorry

We have two 2010 cubes any fairly happy with them. Most trouble has been with krom had problems with radio and blue tooth but I think it was a related problem. The sending unit is not wired directly from steering unit to radio but sent to unit undergrowth passenger seat(stupid engineering idea) on the floor. Water got into unit and ruined it, fortunately was covered under warranty! ($1000.00 part) it would have been better to be wired directly or @ least attached to seat instead of on the floor
Our base cube had a loose wire in horn which affected both horn and alarm. Now engine service light is on,but not flashing, they say it may just be that gas cap wasn't on tight, so have to get it in to see what it is.
