Hood Deflector

Hey everyone,
Just ordered a Hood Deflector from my Nissan Dealership, part #: 99998-00212 it was about $95 ish CDN.
Just incase anyone needed one. After the chip I got in my hood, and windshield, I thought this was a necessary purchase, since the chip cost me about $80 to fix. Grr.

I have 3 chips in the front of the hood and a bullseye in the windshield just today. I cried, I'll admit it.

well I order a hood deflector from a canadian dealer and they shipped it to me here in wisconsin. The final cost about 125 bucks. Deflector was very easy to install and looks great. will get pics up soon. also ordered a front plate holder from gominigo.com so i would not have to put holes in front bumper. John

Looks good!
I bet it would look really nice with the window deflectors as well, since I think they're made out of the same plastic.
Please let us know if it helps keep that pesky gravel away from the windshield!

I got the wind deflectors as well... It took some getting use to though. One of them wasn't aligned right so it would start whistling at like 120 km/h. Its stopped eventually, unless I unknowingly have trained myself to block out the noise.

I am not exactly excited about the look of this, however I have already repaired my windshield so this may prove more for need than aesthetics. I took a rock hit and fixed it but others have not been so lucky.

:)Here is information for hood deflector. I went to Half-Way Motors,Thunder Bay Ont. Toll free number 1-800-665-7207. Part number #99998-00212. I paid $136.12 Canadian money. shipped to my door here in Wisconsin. It took maybe 2 or 3 weeks for me to get it as they has to order it from there supplier. Easy to put on and looks great.

Now I know this may be a silly Q. but why are there screws there? They don't go through the hood do they?
I live outside of Austin,TX where there is a lot of dirt, bugs, and 18-wheelers flying around tossing rocks. Would this deflector be more protective than the nosemask? I have a bunch of tiny little paint chips along the front and I want to get something to protect either the front, the windshield, or both if possible. Anybody know if the nose mask needs a special kind of cleaner or can you use regular "car soap" to clean?

I had consider getting one before, but went with the 3M clear film instead.
