Double-Din Stereo Install: Difficult or Easy to Install?

My JVC 220 BT stereo arrived yesterday. I am not a handy man or very knowledgeable with cars. I want to read the directions and install my stereo to save $$$, but would I be in over my head?

(If it's worth it to have a professional do it, any recommendations other than Geek Squad at Best Buy?)

I found a great small business in Rutland, Vermont. It was $90- they did a great job and everything works wonderfully. If I knew more about cars, I would consider doing it myself- just not worth it to me to start a project and get stuck.

I learned a long time ago that I get best results if I work a little overtime at my job, that I enjoy, and use the extra cash to hire a professional to do a job that I am not comfortable with.

I definitely agree. If it took the professionals around 90 minutes, that would translate to many more hours with me trying to do it. I'm not afraid to do things myself, i'm more careful since I pretty much ruined the dome lights in my car

Here are the results. Looks a lot better in person, these are my cell phone pics.
