How many miles on your Cube?

Just curious the mileage that people have on their Cube. My 2013 is almost at 40,000k miles, i'm curious to see how many people are over 100,000k.

Thanks for sharing. It seems like the Cube (w/ proper maintenance), should make it to at least 200,000k miles, maybe more. Nissans last forever

I bought my Cube in early March this year with 23,000k, i'm now at about 39,000k. Also, I noticed that it's difficult to differentiate between a 2009-2014 model (other than the PureDrive logo on the newer models). Usually cars seem to have a slightly different look as that generation of the model progresses.

Sad to say, at 185,243miles my cvt is starting to die. I'm torn about replacing it or just selling the car as is. It is paid for in full and any car I would likely buy would also be paid for in full. We've loved our Cube and it has treated us well. But all good things come to an end. Maybe a MINI or Fiat 500. My 18 year old daughter is looking to get a car too, we were going to give her the Cube but looks like a used 2015 Ford Fiesta for her.

That's sad to hear

What year is your Cube? I'm assuming that you did all the proper maintenance, any idea why the CVT is failing? (Seems a little bit early)

I have never owned a car or truck that didn't need transmission work after 125,000 miles or so. Nothing will last forever without throwing a bunch of money at it. Unfortunately the CVT at present time is more costly to repair than the more common transmissions.

Good points. Everything costs money

I wonder how cars like the Altima or Sentra compare to the Cube when it comes time for transmission work, cost-wise. I owned a 2010 Sentra with 93,000k miles. I switched to the 2013 Cube (23,000k) to get a newer car with less miles. (Obviously cars will wear out over time, i'd rather have a car that I know was well maintained by me).

2009 with almost 35k miles on it, I really love the heck out of this car. I can't stand the way most cars are made now with the slanted front windows and pillars that hit you head easily if you are tall. I don't think they will ever make a car like the Cube again so I will try to not put on so many miles on it.

185,243 miles, and your 1st CVT fluid change was very recent and using not (recommended) non Nissan CVT fluid, correct?

If you have maintained your car well, and it is in good shape, it may be worthwhile to replace the transmission at that mileage. For an additional $4,000, another 100,000 miles is a very reasonable cost/mile.

NYC cabs and black car limo/livery drivers I have chatted with indicate that they keep their cars until about 300,000 miles. After that, it is not cost effective as various costly parts need to be replaced approaching such mileage.
